Webs celebrates completion of new £2.2 million training facility
Webs Furniture Training in Beeston is a national provider of apprentice and adult training for the furniture and associated industries. It has just celebrated the completion of its new state of the art £2.2 million training facility for 200 learners, with the new facility part funded by the Skills Funding Agency.
Peter Sisson, Training Director at Webs said: “It’s been 5 years since we had the initial idea for this project and it’s wonderful to finally see it standing here. This new building has been designed to provide young people with an inspirational learning environment where they have access to the highest quality facilities, technology and equipment to help them achieve their goals.
With the additional space we now have, Webs will be able to offer more places for apprentices and increase the amount of courses that we offer, this really puts Webs on the map as the leading provider of furniture training in the UK.”
Webs works with employers to help them develop their skilled workforce by providing City & Guilds approved apprenticeship training in; Cabinet Making, Frame Making, Kitchen Installation, Upholstery, Cutting and Sewing, Wood Machining and Polishing. The company was recently recognised in Ofsted’s list of outstanding providers for 2010/11.
