BFC writes to Minister on concerns over lack of progress on reform of FFRS

The The British Furniture Confederation (BFC) has written to Ms Margot James MP, Minister for Small Business, Consumers and Corporate Responsibility, regardiing concerns that have been raised in the media about the effectiveness of the Furniture & Furnishings (Fire) (safety) Regulations 1988, as amended (FFFSR) – and also regarding flame retardant chemicals used in upholstered furniture and beds. The BFC expresses its frustratation that no progress appears to have been made in over a year to reform the regulations following the Autumn 2016 consultation.
