BFM are founder members of FIESTA a group that has been formed to unite and inspire furniture and interiors businesses, helping the industry to become a sector of choice within the UK by facilitating internationally recognised skills development.
British Standards
British Standards were the world’s first national standards body and remain a leading global standards maker. BFM sit on the various committees that form and manages standards for furniture.
FISP
BFM are founder members of FISP, an independently certified sustainability programme tailored to the needs of the Furniture Industry supply chain. FISP promotes best practise to drive social, economic and environmental change.
CBI
BFM are members of CBI, the UK’s most effective and influential business organisation. The CBI speaks on behalf of 190,000 businesses. Together they employ nearly 7 million people, about one-third of the private sector-employed workforce.
January Furniture Show
We are pleased to partner with the January Furniture Show- the meeting place for the furniture industry. JFS is the industry event, where the most important buyers and suppliers from the furniture and interiors industry come together to do business.
Export Partners
Export Partners UK is a lobbying organisation which assists UK SME companies to lobby the government and opposition on International Trade. In particular, the EPUK focuses on improving the funding available for overseas exhibitions.
The Furniture Makers' Company
The Furniture Makers' Company is the British furnishing industry’s charity and patron. It endeavours to support and nurture the UK furnishing industry through core charitable activities which focus on Excellence, Education and Welfare.
The British Furniture Confederation
BFM are founder members of The British Furniture Confederation (BFC), a lobby group that represents the furniture and bed making industries of the United Kingdom. It ensures that the views of its members are heard by Parliamentarians and Ministers.
